Section Formula

1. The Section Formula for a given Coordinate System is used to calculate the Coordinates of a Point that Divides the Line Segment Between any 2 Points in a certain Ratio.
2. The Coordinates of a Point that Divides the Line Segment Between 2 Points \( (x_1,y_1)\) and \((x_2,y_2)\) in \(2\)-Dimensional or \( (x_1,y_1,z_1)\) and \((x_2,y_2,z_2)\) in \(3\)-Dimensional Cartesian Coordinate System in \(l : m\) Ratio is given as
   
   \(x=\frac{mx_2 + lx_1}{m+l}\)
   
   \(y=\frac{my_2 + ly_1}{m+l}\)
   
   \(z=\frac{mz_2 + lz_1}{m+l}\)
